Thanks to Style Unveiled for publishing another BLR wedding! Also thanks to the fabulous vendors who are listed on the featured post. Most importantly thanks to Heather and Sebastian for choosing me to be there wedding photographer. When I read below what she said about hiring her photographer I was flattered. I had know idea she was interviewing so many other photographers. I am so glad she picked me and I just love her personality and style. Such a gorgeous Wine Country wedding! {Kaycie & David}

What an awesome couple!!! These two were so much fun to photograph. I am excited to have finally shot a wedding at Cornerstone in Sonoma. It’s a great venue with tons of places to shoot and also home to BLR’s new studio. We are excited to be sharing our newest location with A Savvy Event who of course did fantastic job on Kaycie and David’s wedding.  Elaine Bell Catering rocked the food and dessert! Check out some of my favs and I would love your comments!

This is when they first saw each other!

The girls were walking to the ceremony site singing “Goin’ to the Chapel”. Too cute!

This is my favorite from the day!

{Jenna & Andrew}

We had a blast yesterday with this shoot!  I know styled engagement sessions are hot lately, but I haven’t wanted to jump on board with the whole concept…until now. Reason being, I really like my images to have a natural candid feel. Plus going through a ton of setup has never been my style, I prefer being spontaneous and fast. I love simple and timeless but I do love to try new things, so I figured it’s about time BLR does a “styled engagement shoot”.
We added some fun elements to this session. Having a few pieces with sentimental value to Jenna and Andrew helped make this shoot come together. The style of their wedding is going to be  old world European meets San Francisco elegance. So from that I picked a location with an old stone wall and Milkglass Vintage Rentals provided the furniture and suitcases. Jenna brought the books and one of the bottles contains a letter asking her to marry Andrew which he buried in the sand when they got engaged. Everything about the shoot has something to do with them. They love sweets, celebrating, playing board games and most of all just hanging out. These two are awesome together and I can’t wait for 10.23.11!

Love this shot!!!!!

We did a ton of great shots of just them two of them in my typical style the two above are timeless to me.

They are so cute together and I could keep posting but I’ll quit now. If you want to see the full shoot visit blrphoto.com/jennanandandrewesession.

{Jennifer & Chris 03.19.11}

This was such a fun wedding – rain and all. If anyone was in wine country yesterday you know how rainy it was. We started in Napa Valley at La Residence before the ceremony and then headed to a church in Sonoma.  The rain poured down on us on through the day into the night where they celebrated at The Lodge at Sonoma. I love the added element the weather brought to these images. Jen and Chris were troopers and endured the rain and cold so we could get some fun shots before the ceremony.

After this couple booked me I was blown away by their kind hearts that became so apparent in every interaction we had. It was no surprise to find that they were ridiculously head over heals for each other.   This also made them the biggest group of cry babies I have ever shot  – which helped pave the way for some great images. From sisters, to brothers, moms & dads, and not to mention the couple…they all were crying all day. This was such big love fest I shed a few tears myself. I am truly honored to have been able to witness their marriage. Thank you guys! Here are some of my favorite shots from this wine country wedding.

This was when they saw each other for the first time. I love how her mom and his dad are so excited.

This was just the beginning of the water works.

“Singing in the rain”

Both dad’s crying, soooooo cute.

    What joy is found in these photos!!!! And I love the creativity of inviting the rain to be part of the celebration rather than fighting it. What brilliance.

    This union certained rained love and blessings throughout!

    Cheers!

    Rain, rain, all day and all nite, but it didn’t melt the wedding party. The Bride was beautiful and the groom dapper. It was a beautiful wedding in spite of the rain & the photo’s indicate the wedding party was playing & “Singing In The Rain!!!” Congratulations to the Bride and Groom!!ReplyCancel

  • What an absolute joy it was having the Hamaway/Vlasic families stay at our hotel for the wedding weekend. Every single member of your family as a guest at La Residence was a joy to meet and get to know. Blessings to Chris and Jennifer, we will truly miss the close contact that we have had with you over the last few months.ReplyCancel

Meet Jane and Brian! I will be photographing their Napa Valley wedding in July. Elizabeth from An Even to Remember is coordinating so it will definitely be an awesome event. We took these shots in Younville out front of Bouchon. This is special to them it is where they had their first date. I have to say these two are so perfect together and I can’t wait for their big day! Here are a few of my favorite shots.
