Lauren & Kevin ~ 11.13.11 ~ Solage Calistoga
Well I can’t believe 2011 is over. I still have a handful of awesome weddings to post but here is a start. This was one of my last few weddings and I have to admit one of my favorites. It had been chilly but on that Saturday in November things warmed up just right. Lauren and Kevin are a fantastic couple with a great family to boot. The wedding was at Solage in Calistoga which is just amazing. Kelly with A Savvy Event did a stellar job as their planner and designer. This was one of those weddings where in my head I say if I were to have a wedding again I would want it just like this. A wine country wedding not too big, not too small. Great weather, friends and food. Oh ya and of course the vino:). The first image in the post is my favorite. It is an image of the Lauren’s grandparents giving a toast. The best part is the story behind it which I know means a lot to the couple. The grandfather started speaking and then ranted that he couldn’t read his notes because his wife had written them for him. Finally he beckons her to come up and read. She struggles a bit and says to her “can’t read your own writing either” with a smile, the room broke out in laughter. It was such a sweet moment and a great snippet into a wonderful long lasting marriage. Moments like this remind me of the beauty of marriage and how lucky I am to help preserve these memories. Thanks to the wonderful vendors who are listed below and a link to more images including detail shots.
